Who We Are

Bricolage Permaculture Consulting was founded in 2013 when Kate started managing Valhalla Gardens after finishing internships with nursery experts and earning her permaculture design certification. After eight years at Valhalla, she opened Gold Horse Farm Nursery, where she sold heirloom and locally adapted varieties of fruit and nut trees and advised her clients on variety selection and pest management solutions. She now splits her time between South Carolina and Europe, where she is earning a masters degree and doing research in Agroforestry.
